One of the things I love about Thanksgiving, besides the Turkey is that it reminds me to be grateful for everyone in my life and my life in general. When my daughters were in their teens I had so much to be grateful for.
A running list might look something like this: I'm grateful that they taught me about patience, honesty, being authentic, my fears, what the top of happiness feels like and the bottom of sadness, love, acceptance, staying awake, there is so much more. Now that they are grown women I have the opportunity to look at my gratitude more often.
I encourage you to make a list of everything you are grateful about your teens and one just about what you are grateful for in your life and share it with the ones that you love.
I am Grateful For:
- My life and living somewhat consciously
- My daughters, they have my heart
- My partner, the source of my most consistent gifts of growth
- My 4 legged evolved critters, teaching me the most basic thing "Unconditional Love"
- My connection with teenagers and their parents, so fun and inspiring
- My lessons and growth in my life, dependent on me being connect to myself, others and God
- My close community of friends and family (one in the same)
- Life and all that it offers
I am so grateful that I can be doing what I am passionate about while experiencing amazing shifts in peoples lives including myself
Happy Thanksgiving
