Why Sedona

Sedona is not just a pretty backdrop. It is one of the most talked about places in the country for people seeking real change, and there is a reason for that. This small red rock town has earned a reputation as a place where people slow down, get honest, and see things more clearly. Families come here for the same reason individuals do: something about this land makes hard conversations easier to have.

That is exactly why our in-person retreats are held here instead of in a hotel conference room or over a video call. Sedona's setting does part of the work before we even begin.

Let's connect

Sedona's Vortex Energy

Sedona sits on 15 to 20 known energy vortexes, places where the earth's energy is said to be especially concentrated. People describe these spots as calming, energizing, or sometimes both at once. Millions of visitors come to Sedona every year drawn by these reported healing energies.

You do not need to believe in vortexes to feel the effect of this place. Even skeptical teens and stressed parents tend to notice it: the red rocks, the quiet, the space away from screens and routines. That shift in environment often opens the door to a shift in conversation, which is the real goal of an in-person retreat.

Why We Bring Families Here In Person

A video call can teach a skill. It is much harder for a video call to repair a relationship. That takes presence, eye contact, and time away from the distractions of daily life. Sedona gives us all three.

When a teen and parent step away from home, from school pickup schedules and phone notifications, and sit together on a trail or in a quiet retreat space, something changes. There is room for the conversation that has been avoided for months. There is room to actually hear each other.

This is why, alongside our virtual coaching options, we offer retreats held right here in Sedona. Virtual work is valuable for staying consistent. In-person time in a place like this is where the bigger breakthroughs tend to happen.

What a Retreat Day Looks Like

Example Day Structure

Morning: Grounding

Retreats typically begin with quiet time outdoors, a walk, or a guided reflection before any conversation starts. This gives everyone a chance to settle in before the deeper work begins.

Midday: The Work

This is where the coaching happens: guided conversations between teen and parent, individual reflection time, and space to work through what has been left unsaid.

Evening: Integration

Retreats close each day with time to process what came up, whether that is a quiet dinner together or a short group reflection. The goal is for what happens in Sedona to travel home with the family, not stay behind on the trail.
